Abstract artist Hanafi studied at Sekolah Seni Rupa Indonesia (SSRI, Indonesia School of Fine Arts) in Yogyakarta. Ten best in the Phillip Morris Indonesia Art Awards 1997. Finalist in the Indofood Art Awards 2002 and 2003. Solo exhibitions in Canada, Spain, Singapore and Jakarta at the Gallery Nasional in 2002 and Gallery Canna in 2004. Lives and works in Jakarta, Indonesia.
