(born 1964) Jimmy Ong is a well established Singaporean contemporary artist currently based in New York. His figurative charcoal works have been sold at numerous auctions and he has exhibited extensively worldwide. Known for his his large-scale, figurative charcoal works on paper since his first solo exhibitions in the 1980s. His early works focused on sexual identity, often within the context of the traditional Chinese family. |
